Over the last 15+ years, we've built a reputation as thought leaders and one of the most trusted solutions in the industry, and it shines through our customers—all 250,000 of them, representing the world's top brands in tech, banking & finance, retail, media, and more.

How do we do this? It all starts with our people and a core belief that the talent we seek should be a culture add rather than a “culture fit,” with our 5 core values in mind:

  1. Take it to Heart
  2. Practice Considerate Communication
  3. Act Humbly and Confidently
  4. Collaborate with Bias to Action
  5. Be Beyond Litmus
What would I do at Litmus?
As the Email Marketing Specialist, you'll play a key role in our lifecycle marketing team at Litmus, reporting into the Manager, Lifecycle Email Marketing. In this role, you'll help bring email campaigns to life that boost brand awareness, engage our audience, and drive revenue throughout the customer journey. You'll get to blend your technical expertise with creative flair, while staying curious about the latest email trends. If you're detail-oriented and love collaborating with different teams, this role is a great fit for you.

On any given day you might:
  • Execute email campaigns in Customer.io and Marketo, including building, QA testing (in Litmus!), list segmentation, managing sends, and analyzing post-send data
  • Manage and maintain Litmus' email design system and template library, ensuring brand consistency
  • Report on transactional, nurture, and other email campaigns, including post-send evaluation
  • Conduct ongoing A/B tests to optimize performance and share insights
  • Support the Manager of Lifecycle Email Marketing in maintaining the email calendar
  • Identify and resolve issues related to email delivery and performance
  • Troubleshoot technical issues within the email tech stack, working with stakeholders to resolve marketing automation and integration challenges
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure email content aligns with brand guidelines, and occasionally write copy
  • Ensure all email campaigns comply with laws and regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
What is Litmus looking for in a candidate?
  • Prior experience in an email marketing role, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Strong attention to detail; commitment to error-free email creation is essential for our brand and business
  • Experience with ESPs (list management, segmentation, campaign creation, post-send reporting); Marketo and Customer.io preferred
  • Solid understanding of HTML/CSS for email coding
  • Experience managing email design systems and templates
  • Curious, data-driven, and logical thinker, with a strong focus on testing assumptions
  • Effective collaborator, able to partner across teams with diverse skill sets
  • Highly organized, with strong project management skills to handle multiple initiatives

Why should I choose Litmus?

  • We offer everything you'd expect from a profitable company that's been going strong for 10+ years, including a great salary and stock options, comprehensive health care benefits, and a generous retirement plan match
  • You'll receive 28 days of paid vacation—on top of team retreats and public holidays
  • A platform for good: Affinity Groups, a culture of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and volunteer days—creating belonging for all is in our DNA both inside and outside of work
  • Remote-first culture. No matter where you are, you'll feel connected to the team
  • We take family seriously and offer flexible schedules and generous parental leave programs
  • We give you great tools and tech to do your best work: Hardware, software, and home-office setups

Not sure if you meet all the requirements? Please apply! We know there is no job description that can measure a person's attitude, aptitude, or amplitude (the ability to turn it up a notch) and highly encourage you to apply.

Our approach is shaped by a strong respect for each individual. This applies to every aspect of employment—from equitable wages, work-life balance, the freedom to be your whole self, to equal opportunities for growth and development at Litmus. We believe wholeheartedly the more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.
