About The Role

We offer holistic financial services to high-net-worth individuals and families including investment advisory, income tax planning and compliance, financial and estate planning, risk management and other multi-family office services. About the Role

  • Provide tax compliance and advisory services to clients relating to individual, gift, trust, partnership, and corporate taxation.
  • Manage workflow of tax services offering in conjunction with Tax Director.
  • Prepare and review the work of other tax staff on large and complex tax engagements including calculations of estimated tax payments and tax extensions.
  • Keep firm partners and client management teams informed on progress of various engagements as well as important issues discovered that need resolution.
  • Research tax issues and findings that may impact clients’ federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning.
  • Be liaison between Curi RMB Capital and third-party outsourced providers.
  • Participate in client proposal opportunities and new business opportunities when required.
  • Ability to manage increased workload while working evenings & weekends (when necessary) ahead of filing deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing compliance and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, multi-generational affluent families, family offices and their private businesses and/or investment entities:
    • Perform complex individual, partnership, S-corp, trust, estate, gift, and state tax returns
    • Work on multiple engagements that deliver proactive tax planning and strategic consulting including federal estate, gift, charitable planning, and generation skipping tax 
    • Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to complex situations
  • Learn and grow from direct and on the job mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs
  • Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients

Experience, Education and Skills

  • Two or more years of relevant tax experience working in a CPA firm or financial services firm
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or business
  • CPA or MST preferred
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of Lacerte Tax (or similar preparation software)
