ASI is actively recruiting a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support TSA. 

JOB DESCCRIPTION: ASI Government seeks a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support  the Enrollment Services and Vetting Programs (ESVP) division of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). This role involves developing and implementing new processes and policies, enhancing team efficiency, and ensuring the quality resolution of system issues. The SME will analyze TSA data to support intelligent business decisions and engage in key TSA meetings and presentations to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Additionally, the position requires driving customer satisfaction through focused strategies and maintaining oversight of technical support processes relevant to Passenger & Crew (P&C) analysis. This role is pivotal in optimizing TSA's operational procedures and improving standard operations and analytics for critical security metrics. 

The Enrollment Services and Vetting Programs (ESVP) division of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) plays a crucial role in the security processes for U.S. transportation systems. ESVP is responsible for establishing, managing, and integrating various TSA programs focused on frontline vetting missions. The division oversees program operations, technology, budget, and the end-to-end integration of vetting processes.  ESVP's responsibilities extend to the vetting of certain surface transportation employees, conducting Security Threat Assessments (STAs) to confirm identities and assess potential security threats posed by individuals. These assessments are critical to maintaining the security of transportation networks. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Establishing, recommending, and implementing policies to ensure quality, timely addressing all the system issues and tasks.
  • Working effectively with TSA VPB federal managers and their team to increase efficiency, productivity and overall client experience and handling escalated issues from clients.
  • Analysis/evaluate TSA data to provide meaningful insights that drive smart business decisions. 
  • Participating in the TSA system related meetings, presentations
  • Act as a senior agent who will drive customer satisfaction through customer and mission focus.
  • Review all technical support related processes and documentation for impact on Passenger & Crew (P&C) analysis and mission execution.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings to coordinate, collaborate, communicate, track deliverables and tasks. 
  • Build and improve standard operation procedures and troubleshooting documents.
  • Translate incidents and issues into quantifiable metrics. 
  • Design and oversee/execute analytic processes and tools for key P&C metrics/oversight
  • Communicating and adhering to new procedures, processes and timelines.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:   

  • US Citizenship
  • Prior TSA experience required. Preference for TSA Enrollments Services and Vetting Program operations experience
  • Shall have 12+ years demonstrated knowledge and experience in Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) service 
  • Masters required. BA/BS with 15+ years of experience can substitute for the master’s degree with 12+ years of experience required for this category.
  • Experience in developing and articulating business requirements for technical implementation
  • Technical experience with Excel, MS Access, MS Power BI and other analytics tools
  • Knowledge sharing platforms include but not limited to SharePoint, Agile development methodologies, cloud-based solutions, and other SELC relevant functional services/support.
  • Direct or indirect experience and expertise with schedule passenger operational processes and systems

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: DHS Public Trust (or clearable) 

LOCATION: Hybrid – Onsite, one day per week located at 32 National Business Pkwy, Annapolis Junction, MD 20701 

SALARY: $175,000-$180,000 

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Through Feb 2025, expect work will continue through Feb 2030
