The Team  

Our Health Modernization Solutions (HMS) team works side by side with customers to articulate a vision for success, and then make it happen. We know success doesn't happen by accident. It takes the right team of people, working together on the right solutions for the customer. We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst who will be a key driver to make this happen. 

 

The Work  

Our team will assist HHS and GSA’s Centers of Excellence (CoE) in building a modern IT enterprise architecture with effective data governance and DevSecOps. We will assess the current network, infrastructure, applications, and data, identify strengths, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities, and envision an optimal future IT environment while understanding customer needs. 

Key Responsibilities and Job Duties  

  • Support all aspects of the software development cycle including requirements, design, testing, and delivery of efficient tracking and reporting tools  

  • Communicate regularly and effectively with team members as to the status of various tasks, including leading status stand-ups 

  • Work with stakeholders to define the requirements and assist in identifying the best design approach  

  • Develop an understanding of the client processes and procedures and help identify improvements relative to technology  

  • Understand the capabilities and application of client’s systems and support a team of senior technologists to deliver solutions for clients   

  • Be the first point of contact for users experiencing issues or requesting updates, provide one-on-one technical assistance, and/or delegate tasks to the appropriate contact as necessary  

Required Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's degree (Candidates can substitute one year of experience for one year of a degree) 

  • 2+ years of experience in Information Technology 

  • 2+ years of experience developing standard documentation, including requirement and design specifications, use cases, test plans, and other supporting system documentation  

  • 2+ years of experience with issue tracking and project management tools such as JIRA, SharePoint  

  • Experience on a software development team building modern software products. 

  • Experience in MS Office products, such as Excel, Visio, Teams, and PowerPoint 

  • Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively in a team environment and to coordinate amongst diverse program stakeholders 

  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust 

  • Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S. 

  • Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years 

 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Demonstrated consulting experience  

  • Experience with testing software, tracking issues, and working with developers to ensure that requirements are being met and a high-quality product produced   

  • Strong customer service focus, project planning, attention to detail and organizational skills  

  • Effective time management skills and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects to meet goals, deliverables, and deadlines  

  • Experience with content management systems, including user roles, configuration, and content editing 

  • Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

 

Job Location:  

Remote with possible quarterly travel to D.C
