ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an exceptional QA Tech Lead with strong architectural skills and deep knowledge of the fintech domain to lead our quality assurance efforts. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive our QA processes to new heights in our fast-paced fintech environment.


WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement;
  • Architect, implement, and continuously optimize end-to-end testing processes for complex fintech systems;
  • Develop comprehensive testing strategies and plans, with a focus on risk-based approaches in the fintech domain;
  • Oversee the implementation of both manual and automated testing, with a strong emphasis on test automation using Python;
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle;
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve QA-related challenges to ensure high-quality software delivery in a fintech context;
  • Implement and manage performance and load testing initiatives for mission-critical financial applications;
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in API testing, utilizing tools like Postman and integrating with monitoring systems such as Kibana;
  • Spearhead the integration of QA processes with CI/CD pipelines, including the implementation of automated smoke tests with Allure reporting;
  • Continuously improve all testing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in our fintech environment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 4 years focused on manual and automated testing using Python;
  • Proven track record of architecting QA solutions for complex, large-scale systems in the fintech or payments industry;
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to guide, mentor, and motivate QA teams to achieve high performance and productivity;
  • Extensive hands-on experience in payments and B2B testing scenarios;
  • Advanced knowledge of performance and load testing methodologies and tools, particularly for financial applications;
  • Proficiency with Kibana for log analysis and monitoring in QA contexts within fintech systems;
  • Expert-level skills in API testing, with a deep understanding of RESTful APIs commonly used in financial services;
  • Strong background in CI/CD integration, particularly for implementing automated smoke tests with Allure reporting in a fintech environment;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and industry best practices specific to financial technology;
  • Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems used in fintech projects;
  • Excellent communication skills in both English (at least B2 level) and Russian, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences in a financial technology context.
