We are looking for a Senior Database Reliability Engineer to focus on our EverWell (Timely and SalonBiz). Timely and SalonBiz serve over 24,000 customers in 100 countriesWe provide booking and client management software and are on a mission to build the leading platform for beauty professionals. Between us, we offer SaaS solutions to customers of varying sizes and stages, serving different customer profiles within the beauty industry. Our software helps business owners take control of their calendar, make more money and deliver amazing experiences that keep their clients coming back.       

 

You’re part of a team with responsibility for our databases and data storage infrastructure that our EverWell Solutions (Timely and SalonBiz)  applications, users, and staff rely onYou’ll be passionate about working in the database space, with a proven track record of delivering solid and thoughtful solutions using current methodologies and technologies.  

What you'll do.

  • Capacity planning and performance tuning of the database platforms. 

  • Carry out database related project work (e.g. writing migration scripts, procs, DDL and managing OCI database servers etc). 

  • Automate, monitor, document data operations/procedures in the database platforms. 

  • Assist development teams in a consultancy role for identifying risks and proposing solutions around database reliability and observability. 

  • Provide technical support for customer issues raised from the customer support and customer success teams. 

  • Leading and/or being involved in the resolution of complex incidents and problems in databases. 

  • Maintain awareness of trends and emerging technologies in relevant fields and propose to EverWell solutions when fit. 

  • Advocate for and apply Devops and SRE principles across EverWell engineering teams. 

  • Grow and mentor other database professionals. 

What you'll bring.

  • The ability to operate autonomously. This means you can prioritize your time effectively and make independent decisions, but you’ll know when to seek guidance/help when needed. 

  • Demonstrate a solid grasp of relational database principles, with a focus on Oracle, and a strong proficiency in SQL, preferably PL-SQL. 

  • Expertise or strong affinity with various operating systems (preferably Linux) and cloud platforms (preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) 

  • Proficient in analyzing technical requirements to contribute to the development of database automation projects. 

  • Include peripheral aspects when delivering solutions: monitoring, alerting, automation, documentation & knowledge sharing 

  • Be able to think analytically to identity root causes effectively and go beyond treating symptoms. 

Where: Remote in US, working hours around 10am-6pm CST or later to have better collaboration with New Zealand team members.
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones.

This role can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely.

Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $100K to $120K USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
