Job description

Work Flexibility: Remote

As the Sr. Data Engineer, you will work with data engineer and analyst teams to continuously improve and maintain our data management framework and infrastructure.

What you will do

  • Apply fundamental and intermediate concepts of data engineering and data architecture to support the growth and changing needs of the business
  • Apply fundamental and intermediate concepts of data transformation & modeling, programming, and statistical & predictive analytics to support data science and AI initiatives
  • Develop and maintain requirements gathering and technical documentation for key systems and data assets and translate stakeholder requirements into technical requirements with some guidance.
  • Contribute to discussions on identifying opportunities in data architecture, data science, and engineering to enable business opportunities with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, support, and create scalable solutions.
  • Investigate and implement new data engineering methods to support the needs of the business.
  • Build and deliver presentations and user trainings that explain critical functions and findings to stakeholders with some guidance.

What you need​

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, data analytics, mathematics, statistics, data science or related field with applicable data engineering & architecture work experience or 6 years data engineering and architecture work in lieu of degree.
  • 2+ years data engineer, data architecture, database administration, data science, information services, or related experience.
  • SQL development experience.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT optimization, data transformation, cleansing, & data store/warehouse/database concepts.
  • Experience with business intelligence, analytics platforms (ex. Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree or PhD in Computer Science or quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with common data programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Power FX, DAX, M).
  • Experience with Azure tools, database, and data warehouse technologies (e.g., Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate), SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks).
  • Experience with machine learning concepts and AI models (e.g. GPT-4, BERT, NLP, forecasting)
  • Experience with use of Agile and DevOps methods to deliver projects and maintain data solutions and using Github for versioning control.

$75,300 - $156,900 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 10%
