Job Summary:
The Senior Product Manager will lead product strategy for multiple products in the Patient Safety organization within BD. The candidate will be responsible for developing strategies to maximize revenue, profitability and market share of assigned products while meeting customer needs and delivering strong financial performance. The successful candidate will also develop strong relationships internally and externally and work effectively across functions to drive results.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop short-term and long-term business plans for assigned products/product lines.

  • Conduct competitive analysis and research on market trends related to products.

  • Understand and communicate value proposition for products.

  • Gather voice of customer feedback and use it to inform product roadmap.

  • Work cross functionally to execute new product launches and line extensions.

  • Manage life cycle management processes for existing products including pricing, promotions, forecasting and inventory management.

  • Analyze sales data and other relevant information to identify opportunities to increase sales and improve profitability.

  • Develop strong relationships internally and externally to ensure alignment around product goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications team to develop effective advertising and promotional materials.

  • Provide input into the development of training materials and educational programs for customers and internal stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in medical device industry or equivalent.

  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management process and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with cross functional teams.

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully driving product innovation and commercialization.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Highly motivated and self-directed with excellent attention to detail.
