Are you interested in building innovative solutions that directly impact the efficiency of passenger processing systems within airports?

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is a leader in advanced technology and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. In this rapidly evolving world, we are always looking for new ways to disrupt the status quo, go to market faster, and optimize customer experiences. We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to help lead this mission. This specific role will be focused on passenger-processing products within our Airports division.

The Product Owner is a key role in the product development team ensuring that the product vision and roadmap is translated into the delivery of individual solution features that offer the greatest business value possible. Working closely with the Product Manager, you will act as the bridge between end customers, business stakeholders and the technology teams. This role serves as a product ambassador internally and externally, driving growth and innovation.

You will be a critical link between many stakeholders to ensure the team is building features that add the right value, in the right way. The ideal candidate will have big ideas and strategies that foster an environment of collaboration and creativity. We need someone who has an entrepreneurial mindset for distilling business value and goals into roadmaps and refined product backlogs. Most important, we need a product owner who can help us build better products that people love to use.

Regardless of role, we expect excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all hires at Collins Aerospace. We look for candidates who will thrive here, meaning they demonstrate clear communication, embrace open feedback, trust their colleagues, and are driven to execute, deliver, and complete projects independently and efficiently.

  • Champion product vision and roadmap to customers and development teams, translating technical concepts into jargon-free descriptions for business stakeholders and ensuring development teams have sufficient understanding of the product vision.

  • Lead from ideation to successful execution. Understand and conform with the development team commitments and support them in delivering product value on time.

  • Work directly with customers to understand desired product outcomes via a range of techniques such as workshops, interviews, etc.

  • Break larger features into smaller “value drops”.

  • Work with a range of stakeholders and prioritizing backlog items based on business value to drive results.

  • Translate product roadmap into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria to development teams/ developers.

  • Work closely with Architects and Product Manager to refine features, supporting the “Enough Design Up Front” principle of Agile.
