Job Description:

GDIT plays a leading role in building and modernizing web applications and data management solutions for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). We also provide architecture, implementation, data analysis and operations support for large scale data migration and integration of cloud IT systems.

GDIT is seeking a Business Analyst, who will work collaboratively with CMS to define requirements for web development to support the Medicare Transaction Facilitator.

HOW A BUSINESS ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Analyzes user needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of projects and highlights areas of improvement.
  • Identifies and documents new functionality or updates the existing, to meet client needs.
  • Prepares highly complex flow charts, models, and procedures.
  • Writes and updates project documentation including User Stories, procedures, presentations, and training materials.
  • Advises others on form design and layout activities.
  • Serves as advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommends functional changes, and identifies areas for further investigation.
  • Develops technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of systems
  • Performs detailed analysis and systems designs
  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
  • May serve as a team or task lead
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to team members.
  • Generates recommendations in the form of presentations, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel.
  • Participates in meetings and discussions for any new work, including special projects, assisting with high level ROMs and detailed estimates.
  • Attends and/or facilitates meetings and forums with all the stakeholders on both technical and business project topics.
  • Participates in collaborative reviews of Requirements, Development, Testing  and Deliverables.
  • Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables.
  • Participates in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) ceremonies.
  • Collaborates with team members and management to identify risks and mitigation activities.
  • Defines, communicates, and promotes best practices.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • 6+ years related IT experience.
  • Familiarity with Medicare data and business processes, specifically Part D and Part B claims.
  • Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or related Agile methodology.

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $124,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
