Job description

The Data Operations Analyst role, as a member of the Technology team, will report to the Global Head of Data Engineering with the goal of supporting the firm’s progress towards simplifying and streamlining its daily data workflow and surrounding life cycle that drives how WisdomTree consumes, manages, and distributes information across its growing data universe. Central to these efforts is a multi-pronged approach to database stewardship and governance.

Success in this role would be achieved by:
  • Investigate, correct, and reduce broken pipeline workflows.
  • Ensure that the global daily ETL batch cycle process operates efficiently.
  • Curate robust solutions around workflow management.
  • Expand the data governance around exception handling and reporting to relevant stakeholders to minimize “time to correction”
  • Facilitate the smooth transition of Operations, Research, and Sales projects from dev to production.
  • Enforce proper execution of the daily delivery of files to external and internal FTP stakeholders, ensuring the appropriate destination.
  • Ensure timely delivery of monthly and quarterly reporting suites.
  • Assume various DBA responsibilities to serve an expanding user base.
  • Serve as the point person for nightly entity batch (Fundamentals, Benchmarks, Performance, Lipper, etc.) 
  • Coordinate with other departments in the US and EU to facilitate new SLAs and enhance existing ones with respect to requirements gathering and end-to-end workflow creation, deployment, and as-needed troubleshooting. 

  • Experience and required skill set:
  • 1-3 year of experience in Back-office operations and workflow stewardship (entry-level). Financial services experience is preferred. 
  • Experience with work-flow management and automation tools such as Control-M; Python, T-SQL, and MSSQL Server 2014+ a plus
