Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Strategy Associate to join our Group Technology department on a permanent basis. The role will be based at our London office, with a hybrid element for those looking for more flexibility.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Analysis and Insights:

  • Assist in analysing market trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer insights.
  • Collaborate to synthesize data and develop actionable recommendations.

Business Case Support:

  • Aid in developing business cases and financial models for strategic initiatives.
  • Help analyse key drivers, risks, and financial metrics for investment decisions.

Project Assistance:

  • Support senior team members in planning and managing strategic projects.
  • Conduct research and gather data to meet project objectives.

Change Management Support:

  • Assist in driving organizational change through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Facilitate communication and feedback to build consensus on strategic initiatives.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to enhancing strategic frameworks and tools.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to promote excellence.

Industry Research:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Monitor competitors and market dynamics to identify strategic opportunities and threats.

Presentation Development:

  • Create visually compelling presentations to communicate strategic insights.
  • Collaborate to ensure cohesive and impactful presentations.
  • Maintain consistency in messaging and design, incorporating feedback for improvement.
  • Stay updated on best practices in presentation design and storytelling.

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Recent graduate in business, finance, economics, or related field.
  • Exposure to strategic planning, business analysis, or project management preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel; knowledge of statistical software is a plus.
  • Passion for the entertainment industry and a proactive mindset towards contributing to strategic initiatives.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Experience within a consultancy firm is advantageous but not essential
