What you’ll be doing…

When you join Verizon’s Consumer Digital Media Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for crafting and leading programmatic and paid social verification, data privacy, governance and supply strategy to achieve brand and business objectives. As a leader on our Advertising Technology, Transformation and Enablement team, you will structure, build, and lead a team of senior managers to develop best in class strategies and ensure digital standards are upheld. You are accountable for ensuring the integrity and protection of our brand across paid media channels, as well as developing processes to drive efficiencies in our end-to-end digital marketing executions, delivering on time and cost savings.  

Responsibilities include:  

  • Crafting digital standards and guidelines to monitor, measure, and mitigate risks associated with brand safety, fraud, and data privacy.

  • Working closely with various internal stakeholders  and external partners to educate and  ensure brand safety, privacy compliance, and optimal performance across all digital media channels. 

  • Developing and implementing strategies to mitigate risks associated with brand safety and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. 

  • Monitoring campaign performance and the landscape (tech, media, news, legal impacts, etc.) to address any issues or implement solutions in real time. 

  • Reviewing all paid media activities and partner technology to identify potential threats to brand reputation, as well as lead the response to any brand safety incidents or larger crises that may arise that impacts our brand. 

  • Developing and executing bold, innovative supply and data strategies for Verizon’s approach to programmatic and paid social buying. Oversee supply side technology partnerships with a focus on performance.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in programmatic media strategy and investment on the brand side or at an agency.

  • Experience leading a team in a managerial capacity.

  • Fluency in data-driven targeting and reach strategy.

  • Experience with analysis and reporting.

  • Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.

  • Strong change management and communications skills

  • Proven project management skills and influence across functions and external teams

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Ten or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience with leading data-driven media technology (Liveramp, Adobe AAM, Epsilon, Acxiom).

  • Knowledge of advertising channels across TV, audio, OOH, Display (desktop, mobile), igital Video, Social Media, various buying methodologies (CPM, CPC, CPA), etc.

  • Programmatic leadership experience within Agency Trade Desks, Management Consultancies or brands with in-house programmatic capabilities.

  • Ability to manage all self-serve programmatic and social channels (display, video, social, dOOH, audio, native) and launch new channels.

  • Experience with primary buying platforms & formats (Google, Amazon AAP, VMG, Facebook/Instagram, Snap, Twitter, Pinterest).

  • Experience with management of agency relationships and resources, and ability to influence across divisions, departments and teams.

  • Knowledge of Ad verification and brand safety tools (IAS, DoubleVerify, Moat).

  • Experience with management of programmatic budgets of at least fifty million dollars.

  • Knowledge of the evolution of programmatic media; how video, social, display, native, branded content became purchasable programmatically.

  • Experience making recommendations regarding tech adoption, based on thorough awareness of the current and emerging programmatic tech landscape.

  • Experience building and executing programmatic buying strategy.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $123,000.00 and $228,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
