Job description

Purpose:

The Manager, Supplier Integration & Performance is responsible for planning and incorporation of innovation and new products of non-merchandise prospect suppliers and management of incumbent supplier products and labor into New Store & Visual Merchandising’s (NSVM) current and forecasted business activity. In addition, the role shall be responsible for all phases of supplier integration to ensure a pipeline of high-quality suppliers, protocol for holistic supplier qualification, mechanisms for sampling & testing, continuous improvement & standardization of product specifications, identification of cost out opportunities and final onboarding of new suppliers.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate shall oversee NSVM’s supplier integration function and continuously analyze current state activities while shaping the business case for identified needed changes to drive to “best in class” results. This includes, but is not limited to, the below position requirements of the candidate:

  • Demonstrated internal and external influence skillset driven by business case development, excellent written communications, and savvy negotiation skills
  • Experience and/or poise reporting out to Executive Leadership Team as NSVM’s functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) on cost management and supplier associated schedule adherence
  • Comfortability analyzing and leveraging the use of data to drive solid decision making for more accuracy and accelerated leadership guidance
  • Ability to manage concurrent implementation projects and balance scope, time, and cost to ensure successful delivery of NSVM’s goals and objectives
  • Self-motivated capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high demand partnership driven environment

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain & Logistics preferably and at least five (5) years retail or supplier quality experience with exposure to developing and maintaining visual merchandise related product specifications.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with fixture related materials, including but not limited to; metals, wood, and plastics as well as exposure to fabrication and millwork processes.
  • Experience with CAD and/or interpreting engineering drawings, redlines, and specifications
  • Proficiency with MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and related data analysis and strategy visualization software
  • Six Sigma or Lean Methodology advantageous and related industry certifications are a plus

Essential Job Functions:

  • Partner with VM Marketing and Execution teams to take overall responsibility for integrating new suppliers into NSVM’s implementation and execution strategy
  • Facilitate NSVM and Indirect Procurement Team communication and drive results of standardized design & performance specifications for products such as pallet racking, wire decking, steel fabricated fixtures, and millwork fixtures in preparation for guidance and direction to current and prospect suppliers
  • Launch and maintain materials requirement planning (MRP) and supplier network inventory management protocol to ensure cost advantageous assignment and timely execution of new stores, product refreshes, new programs and recurring maintenance. 
  • Monitor forecasted needs of the team, develop strategic supplier execution plans and draft upstream logistics mapping for successful rollout of new supplier products or new Visual Merchandising launches
  • Provide supplier selection support and maintain single Point of Contact (POC) for supplier contract adherence, non-compliance escalations, and potential financial risk
  • Create and monitor performance indicators for ensuring supplier performance and flagging potential risk in preparation for mitigation strategy
  • Manage and oversee contract price adherence, price change request, and purchase price variance (PPV) to support NSVM’s budgeting process
  • Lead the supplier development strategy and facilitation of on-site assessments to manage and monitor Cost of Quality (COQ) and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and the potential impact to NSVM activity
  • Coordinate and execute cross-functional supplier performance reviews and innovate annual supplier award programs to foster deeper engagement and supply base partnerships

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS
