Job description

RN Nurse for Home Health Agency (non-medical) – Pay Rate $35 hourly/per visit

This job description outlines the objective and some responsibilities as a PRN Nurse.

Objective: To oversee the care of clients and monitor aides, review client’s files and nursing assessments and ensure all standards are being followed within the organization.

Reports To: Owner

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Conduct nursing assessments, observations, and planning evaluation pertaining to clients.
  • Evaluate clients to ensure needs are consistent with the care plan
  • Coordinate with management on implementing and revising operational procedures related to quality client care.
  • Utilize professional assessment skills to identify physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of client and be able to develop a care plan to meet these needs in a multi-disciplinary approach
  • Function as a resource and mentor to peers and subordinates to maintain professional nursing standards, as needed.
  • Act on client’s behalf to assure patient rights.
  • Review/Audit files to ensure all standards are met, as needed.
  • Train CNA’s (certified nursing assistance) and HHA (Home Health Aide) on skills improvements, as needed.
  • Coach all staff in proper safety procedures and consistently reinforce, as needed.
  • Work jointly with office management to ensure proper data gets tracked and collected.
  • Complete and report data collection and analysis for JCO:

o Client Safety; Client Perceptions of care and services

o Medication Management; Adverse Drug Reactions

o Infection Control; Complaints; Handwashing; Flu program; Dementia Training.

  • Review all documents to ensure that Senior Helpers is following FL and Joint Commission standards.
