We are seeking a Senior Manager, Case Management (Microbiome – West) to join Ferring’s microbiome team. The Senior Manager, Case Management will be responsible for improving accessibility and availability of applicable Ferring products for patients as they move through their journey. Key responsibilities will include coordinating information flow and tracking and monitoring cases in real time as they move from prescription to administration. This position will develop insights into reasons why patients may not receive treatment, identify patient journey pain points, and make recommendations to improve processes, communication, and hand-offs. This position will work closely with Key Account Managers (KAMs), Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs), hub and specialty pharmacy partners, sales leadership, and Marketing.

This position could be based in Parsippany, NJ or remote and will have working hours aligned to the field teams in the Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify a tracking system/process (or improvements to existing systems/processes) to follow cases through the hub, specialty pharmacy, specialty distributors and REBYOTA@home
  • Monitor case progress, flag concerns, and work with KAMs, FRMs, or external Ferring vendors/business partners to quickly resolve emergent issues
  • Communicate de-identified/aggregate case statuses regularly to KAMs and Sales leadership
  • Coordinate and lead regular status meetings with appropriate leadership to review learnings and implement improvements
  • Communicate with customers as needed, for example follow-up on missing information on patient enrollment forms or medication compliance messaging
  • Liaise between Sales and Trade teams to address order processing and shipping issues
  • Develop case database and analyze case outcomes to report on Key Performance Indicators; design and develop reports
  • Identify gaps and barriers that are impacting patient drop-off
  • Develop recommendations (e.g., process changes, role clarifications, communication tools) to support procurement and administration
  • Support training of KAMs, FRMs, and business partners as needed
  • Share appropriate insights with Marketing and Patient Access teams (as applicable) to inform brand strategy
  • Develop strong working relationships across Ferring and serve as a key business partner
  • Follow all policies related to working with patient health information

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales, marketing, or patient access experience is preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years pharmaceutical experience.
  • Understanding of and experience with working with patient information
  • Knowledge of compliance and legal matters related to the pharmaceutical industry (including Fraud and Abuse laws and the PhRMA Code) strongly encouraged
  • Strong understanding of buy and bill dynamics and impact on offices and hospitals
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to analyze and present data
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working on a matrixed team of Sales, Patient Access, Trade, and Marketing
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and peer leadership skills

Physical Requirements: This role will either be A) based in Parsippany, NJ office and require a minimum of three days in the office and field-based travel up to 20% or B) a remote position with field-based travel up to 20%.

Our Compensation and Benefits

At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $144,000 to $175,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.

Benefits for this role include: comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees; a 401k plan and company match; short and long-term disability coverage; basic life insurance; wellness benefits; reimbursement for certain tuition expenses; sick time frontloaded yearly of 40 hours, or higher if state or local law requires; vacation time for full time employees to accrue between 112.5 and 150 hours yearly in the first four (4) years of employment, and additional accruals starting in the fifth (5th) year of employment; and 12 to 13 paid holidays per year.
