Job Overview

As the Regional Sales Manager for State and Local Government and Education, you will be pivotal in overseeing enterprise-level accounts across the Great Lakes Region. Your expertise will allow you to present our cutting-edge product capabilities to prospective clients, aligning our strengths with their requirements to address emerging challenges in the cybersecurity realm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development: Formulate, implement, and oversee account strategies aimed at securing new business and enhancing revenue streams within your designated region. Collaborate effectively to achieve objectives.
  • Negotiation and Closure: Define, negotiate, and finalize contracts to surpass booking and revenue targets.
  • Decision Maker Access: Identify and engage with key decision-makers in target accounts, fostering robust relationships, particularly with CIOs and CSOs, to drive sales initiatives and meet objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside colleagues from various departments—including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Support—to improve visibility with targeted accounts and promote engagement at all organizational levels.
  • Partner Engagement: Collaborate closely with partners to capitalize on their existing relationships and account presence.
  • Data Management: Ensure the accurate recording and maintenance of essential prospect information utilizing Salesforce.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity, cloud, and SaaS technologies, with a successful history in field sales and new account development.
  • Proven expertise in engaging with large State and Local Government and Education agencies, demonstrating a strong ability to build relationships with senior executives.
  • A solid understanding of how technology solutions can effectively address business challenges, accompanied by the capability to convey complex ideas to varied audiences.
  • Experience in target account selling, solution selling, and consultative sales methods.
  • Strong analytical abilities to tackle complex issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Exceptional time management, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Self-driven and motivated individual who excels in a dynamic environment and enjoys both autonomous and team-based work.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly to both internal teams and external clients.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud, and SaaS technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience working with major State and Local Government and Education agencies, with a track record of cultivating relationships with senior executives.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
