Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and committed Accountant to become a vital member of our financial team! Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage Financial Force (Certinia) for multiple entities, ensuring the timely and accurate posting of financial transactions.
  • Efficiently conduct Accounts Payable processes across various regions, which includes vendor relations and timely payment execution.
  • Assess employee expense reports for accuracy, particularly in relation to VAT and GST for employees based in the UK, AU, and Canada on a weekly basis.
  • Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies through comprehensive review and analysis of account data to ensure the precision of financial reporting.
  • Deliver timely and relevant financial recording, reporting, and analysis to aid in informed decision-making.
  • Execute month-end closing activities, such as bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, asset and depreciation monitoring, AP invoice entry, intercompany revenue and cost entries, payroll adjustments, and tracking departmental revenue and costs.
  • Review and document expenses, transfers, and deposits for multiple banks and credit cards on a daily basis for the UK, AU, and Canada.
  • Update cash flow statements as needed to support financial planning initiatives for these entities.
  • Maintain regular communication with external accountants and auditors, providing necessary documentation, addressing inquiries, and generating reports for regulatory and tax purposes.
  • Process payroll for UK, AU, and Canada, ensuring necessary adjustments and journal entries are accurately reflected.
  • Manage the onboarding of new employees into payroll and the offboarding of terminated staff.
  • Monitor staffing communications and update project teams in Salesforce (PSA) to ensure accurate invoicing rates.
  • Undertake additional back-office tasks as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting-related role.
  • At least 2 years of payroll experience, preferably in an international context.
  • 2+ years of experience with Salesforce/Financial Force (Certinia).
  • Experience with international accounting practices, particularly for the UK, Canada, and Australia.
  • Proven expertise in managing intercompany financial operations.
  • Understanding of UK VAT and Canada/AU GST returns and filings is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with time and expense management systems.
  • Sound knowledge of financial accounting principles and GAAP.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and a sharp attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency.
  • Experience in cultivating relationships with a remote workforce.
  • Proactive, self-motivated individual with problem-solving skills.
