Job Overview

We are looking for an accomplished Senior Financial Analyst to become an integral part of our innovative team in a remote capacity. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with scrutinizing, interpreting, and analyzing financial data, ensuring adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Your analytical prowess will be essential in driving informed decision-making and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Generate detailed cost accounting financial statements emphasizing product line analysis and providing additional metrics for comprehensive data review.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Contribute to the annual budgeting cycle and regular reforecasts to enhance financial planning efforts.
  • Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of accounting records to maintain data integrity.
  • Operational Insights: Deliver analysis and insights into business operations to enhance profitability and improve results.
  • Closing Support: Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to guarantee accurate financial reporting.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting: Develop ad-hoc reports and respond to additional reporting needs as requested by management.
  • Reconciliation: Align general ledger data with various sub-ledgers and systems to ensure consistency and precision.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for streamlining the financial reporting process and adopting best practices.
  • Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality to safeguard the organization's sensitive information and value.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct monthly and ad-hoc variance analyses to identify and resolve discrepancies from anticipated outcomes.
  • Compliance: Follow departmental policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulations.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Intermediate capabilities in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Access (or similar database query tools).
  • Robust experience in account reconciliation.
  • Expertise in financial analysis and financial statement preparation.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
