Role Summary

As an Accountant, you will be integral to ensuring precise financial management, effective payroll processing, and smooth intercompany operations. We seek a meticulous individual who possesses strong organizational skills and can consistently meet deadlines. Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities are essential as you will engage closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage Financial Force (Certinia) for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate posting of financial transactions.
  • Administer Accounts Payable processes across various regions, including vendor management and prompt payments.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of employee expenses to ensure proper entry of VAT and GST amounts for employees in the UK, AU, and Canada.
  • Analyze and rectify financial discrepancies by gathering and assessing account information to ensure precision.
  • Deliver timely recording, reporting, and analysis of financial data to aid decision-making processes.
  • Execute month-end close procedures, including bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, asset tracking, and payroll adjustments.
  • Review and post daily expenses, transfers, and deposits for multiple banks and credit cards across the UK, AU, and Canada.
  • Regularly update cash flow reports to facilitate financial planning for entities in the UK, AU, and Canada.
  • Maintain consistent communication with external accountants and auditors, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries for regulatory compliance.
  • Process and review payroll for UK, AU, and Canada, making required adjustments and journal entries.
  • Manage payroll onboarding for new hires and the exit process for terminated employees.
  • Monitor staffing emails and update project teams in Salesforce (PSA) to ensure accurate invoicing rates.
  • Perform additional back-office duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting-related capacity.
  • At least 2 years of payroll experience, ideally with international exposure.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with Salesforce/Financial Force (Certinia).
  • At least 2 years of international accounting experience, particularly in the UK, Canada, and Australia.
  • Proficiency in managing intercompany operations and financial transactions.
  • Familiarity with UK VAT and Canada/AU GST returns and filings is a plus.
  • Knowledge of time and expense recording platforms.
  • Understanding of financial accounting principles and GAAP.
  • Strong organizational capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while demonstrating urgency.
  • Proven track record in building and nurturing relationships within a remote work environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and aptitude for independent work.
