Description

  

Position Overview: The Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) Implementation Specialist will be responsible for enhancing the security and visibility of network traffic by expanding the use of TIC Access Points across all relevant systems. The successful candidate will evaluate current TIC connectivity, engage with system owners, and plan and execute the integration of TIC-as-a-Service connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluation of TIC Connectivity:
    • Assess all systems to determine their current TIC connectivity status, identifying systems that are not yet leveraging TIC Access Points.
    • Analyze the applicability of TIC connectivity to each system, considering the security requirements, data sensitivity, and operational impact.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Initiate and facilitate discussions with system owners who are not currently utilizing TIC Access Points to educate them on the benefits and requirements of TIC connectivity.
    • Collaborate with system owners to identify challenges, opportunities, and timelines for integrating TIC capabilities into their systems.
  3. Planning and Implementation:
    • Develop a comprehensive plan for interconnecting TIC-deficient systems to provide TIC-as-a-Service connectivity.
    • Lead the execution of the interconnection plan, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless and secure transition to TIC-enabled environments.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot the integration process to address any issues or disruptions, ensuring continuous protection and visibility of agency traffic.
  4. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure that all implemented TIC connections comply with relevant federal mandates, including TIC 3.0 and FedRAMP standards.
    • Prepare and maintain documentation and reports that detail the status of TIC connectivity across systems, including metrics on coverage, performance, and security improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, with a focus on Trusted Internet Connection (TIC) implementation and cloud security.
    • Proven experience in managing and deploying TIC Access Points in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Technical      Skills:
    • Strong understanding of TIC 3.0 guidelines, FedRAMP authorization, and cloud security frameworks.
    • Expertise in network architecture, firewalls, VPNs, and secure internet gateway solutions.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their integration with TIC Access Points.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) are highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and process optimization.
