Job Overview

We are actively seeking a passionate and dedicated Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics to become an integral part of our General Education faculty. This fully remote position is designed to support our educational initiatives for the upcoming January semester. As a member of our esteemed team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of aspiring healthcare professionals through effective instruction and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning atmosphere where students feel empowered to seek assistance.
  • Inspire and motivate students to pursue further educational and professional development.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
  • Interact with students equitably to foster their success and confidence.
  • Adhere to the established course syllabus and ensure all instructional materials are prepared before the start of the course.
  • Publish weekly announcements and multimedia resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Facilitate vibrant online discussions to encourage active participation.
  • Clearly articulate homework, projects, and assessments to students.
  • Maintain regular communication with students, offering guidance, especially to those needing additional support.
  • Respond to student queries promptly, within 24 hours on weekdays and 48 hours on weekends.
  • Conduct at least one hour of virtual office hours weekly to assist students further.
  • Provide timely grading and feedback on student submissions, with grades posted within 72 hours.
  • Implement effective instructional methodologies to meet course objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director of General Education regarding student progress and any emerging challenges.
  • Accurately and promptly submit grades and maintain records in accordance with university policies.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Doctoral or professional degree, as well as 2-3 years of teaching experience, ideally in Communications.
