Job description

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Remote (Work From Home)

Job Overview: We are committed to delivering consistent and high-quality medical care. Each member of our dedicated team plays a pivotal role in ensuring that patients receive timely, dignified, and compassionate treatment. Our extensive services encompass long-term acute care hospitals, acute rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing homes, assisted living centers, memory care, and senior living environments, all designed to enhance access to care and provide efficient, cost-effective service.

Schedule

  • Onsite weekend coverage at an Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM
  • Remote on-call answering service from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM for multiple skilled nursing facilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate medical clearance for new patient admissions
  • Deliver comprehensive medical care for adult and geriatric patients
  • Perform detailed medical histories and physical evaluations
  • Address primary care complaints, both acute and chronic, assessing medical urgency
  • Document and establish reasonable medical diagnoses
  • Order necessary diagnostic laboratory and radiology tests according to medical diagnoses or presenting symptoms
  • Accept guidance and feedback from supervising physicians
  • Develop and implement personalized medical plans of care
  • Conduct diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures as per your training
  • Prescribe medications when appropriate
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation and billing processes
  • Uphold the principles of customer service in all interactions
  • Exhibit self-motivation and maintain core customer service values

Required Skills

  • Valid Wisconsin APNP or PA-C License
  • Valid Wisconsin DEA registration
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic capabilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians
  • Proficient documentation and billing skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles
