Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Project/Program Manager III to join our dynamic team in a remote work setting. This position is tailored for professionals with a proven track record in project management, particularly those adept at navigating projects with defined scopes, limited risks, and manageable complexities. As a Project/Program Manager, you will typically oversee projects under the supervision of a State supervisor or manager, focusing on managing small Client Agency projects that deliver clear and achievable outcomes, or supporting larger initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement project management methodologies as outlined in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and timelines, providing regular updates on progress and deliverables.
  • Assume full accountability for scope management, configuration management, change control logs, and testing, including the verification and validation of new systems.
  • Coordinate and manage all project resources, including IS technical staff, clients, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with project management, development, testing, and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate in the implementation of applications alongside the assigned Lead System Administrator (LSA).
  • Manage resource allocation and project team capacity to facilitate successful execution of projects.
  • Facilitate project communications, conduct regular stand-up meetings, and coordinate with the Configuration Management Specialist and Database Administrator.
  • Monitor and control all outsourced tasks.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and techniques (PMBOK).
  • Proficiency in financial management and reporting.
  • Expertise in scope management, configuration management, and change control.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and oversee project resources.
  • Excellent communication skills for facilitating updates and meetings.
