Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency within the accounting department, including documentation of policies and procedures.
  • Conduct research to resolve discrepancies and provide analytical support for decision-making.
  • Assist with audits and regulatory reviews by supplying necessary documentation and responses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Stay current with accounting standards and best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work collaboratively within a team setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • 2-4 years of public accounting experience is preferred.
