Organization Development Advisor

Salary Range

Organization Development Advisor, Grade 10, $76,020.39 - $106,428.53 per fiscal year, commensurate with experience.

Senior Organization Development Advisor, Grade 12, $87,035.75 - $121,850.05 per fiscal year, commensurate with experience.

Job Description Summary

This position designs and delivers programs that align employees with key business strategies and initiatives. Additionally, the Senior Organization Development Advisor provides specialized support in the analyses and definition of organizational structures, mapping of positions and roles, reporting relationships, responsibilities, teamwork, business or operating procedures, asset rationalization, improvement of internal processes, projects for change to design efficient methods of accomplishing work.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to specialist research and analysis to support evaluation of the current-state organization, development and evaluation of future-state organizational design propositions, and identification of the costs and business benefits of change.
  • Act as a team member supporting a change initiative by providing analysis or monitoring progress with guidance from a project/program manager.
  • Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
  • Contribute to procedural improvement by proposing enhancements to current working processes and practices to ensure maximum benefit to the organization.
  • Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents.
  • Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work, and generate new ideas to assist in identifying continuous improvements.
  • Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.
  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
  • Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
  • Design learning sessions to meet the requirements of a specified curriculum or to fill gaps in existing programs; develop and maintain relevant content and high-quality training resources to ensure high levels of learner engagement and achievement of learning outcomes.
  • Deliver training sessions or short courses, engaging, advising, and guiding learners and evaluating the achievement of intended learning outcomes.
  • Support the identification of learning needs by analyzing performance and competence data to identify gaps in relation to required levels; recommend priorities for learning and development (L&D) interventions.
  • Plan and carry out workplace observations and assessments of operational process skills in line with predefined criteria, providing appropriate feedback to assesses and line managers.
  • Contribute to the creation of future talent recruitment campaigns; review and analyze external research on values and aspirations of graduates/school leavers; research and analyze recruitment channels (including career fairs) for graduates/school leavers; draft communications and events content.
  • Deliver specified, complex analyses of external and internal information and analyses of complex resourcing scenarios to support the development of key strategic insights and the strategic workforce plan.
  • Contribute to the management of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives and research within the organization, providing high-quality professional services and a personal example to internal partners to support improved DE&I practices.
  • Represent the organization's DE&I practices in a professional forum.
  • Support the design and delivery of succession planning policies and processes; provide relevant operational and organizational analyses and analysis of external practices; and design and deliver implementation training and support materials.
  • Other duties as assigned

Location:

  • This is a remote position, and is subject to Sourcewell's telecommuting policies and procedures.
  • On occasion, may be asked to travel to Staples, MN for meetings, professional development or team activities. Potentially twice per year. Notice will be given ahead of time.
