Job Summary
Serves as an HR (Human Resources) Consultant for all Guest Supply Sales and Customer Experience team(s) concerning staffing management, employee relations, maintaining union-free operations, training and development, policy interpretation and compliance, benefits, and compensation. Develops, assesses, implements, and evaluates comprehensive company-wide staffing programs and projects that link HR (Human Resources) initiatives to business goals and needs. Provides HR (Human Resources) leadership and support to the assigned client group(s) and has management responsibility for the HR (Human Resources) Manager, who provides general counsel and partnership.
Responsibilities
Coaches, influences and consults directly with sales and customer experience leaders and HR (Human Resources) Manager to drive HR (Human Resources) processes and programs related to change management, staffing, training, organizational development, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, compensation, communication, policy interpretation, and application.
Engages in the interview process for top talent and front line exempt level positions as necessary.
Analyzes operations and human resources-related data; identifies trends, and partner with client group leadership to reverse negative trends.
Promotes and provides effective employee relations through proactive programs (Work Climate survey action planning/quarterly reviews, workforce pulsing, mini-surveys).
Maintains credible relationships with front line supervisors and the workforce.
Participates in the development and delivers training of company-wide programs such as Performance Management, Staffing & Selection, Leadership Development, Coaching, Assessments, etc,
Coordinates client group training initiatives in conjunction with HR (Human Resources) Manager and Learning & Development team.
Reviews terminations to ensure adherence with policies and procedures; evaluates and advises of potential liability in coordination with company legal partners.
Conducts ethics hotline investigations; coordinates and/or drafts company position statements in response to agency charges; ensures compliance with EEO/AA through training, consultation and monitoring of affiliated programs.
Participates in annual compensation review meetings, provides counsel, and recommends various communication strategies.
Monitors base pay and incentive programs to ensure competitive pay practices.
Provides general HR (Human Resources) support to client group in the areas of staffing, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, employment law, and policy compliance.
Manages HR (Human Resources) Manager in day to day responsibilities while overseeing internal job posting program, ethics training, new hire orientation, new hire/exit interview process, employee opinion survey, annual benefits open enrollment, affirmative action program, etc.
Facilitates the implementation and guidance of current performance management systems, to include talent management and succession planning.
Develops short and long term staffing strategies, hiring practices and metrics for client group, provides recommendations to Senior Management in areas related to work-force planning, talent acquisition strategy, and leverages best practices across client group.
Develops strategy/budget and manages HR project plan/resources for acquisitions, start-ups, closures, and consolidations; keeps senior management apprised of project status; recommends and facilitates actions to keep a project on task while ensuring compliance with state and federal law.
Tracks and communicates diversity trends/opportunities; compiles resources and coordinates outreach efforts.
Stay abreast of Federal and State legislation in the human resource area and communicate these changes to management.
Participates in Quarterly Business Reviews and Senior Management Meetings.
May be called upon to present HR-related topics at Guest Worldwide conferences or to senior management.
Leads and participates in various assigned projects with HR colleagues and internal and external cross-functional team members
Qualifications
Education
A 4-year degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience working with progressive human resources initiatives.
Functional expertise and ability to obtain training as necessary.
Ability to work with and influence all types of people at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
Experience Recruiting Sales And Customer-facing Talent Preferred.
Experience supporting remote workers on a national scope preferred.
Physical Demands
Must be able to communicate clearly with employees and other business contacts.
Occasional travel.
Must be able to read at distances close to the eyes, with or without correction.
Must be able to understand and analyze data.
Work Environment
Most of the day is spent in a remote office environment. Occasional travel (25%) is required by primarily by air and occasionally by personal vehicle—sometimes with little notice.
