Abbott Molecular is a leader in molecular diagnostics and the analysis of DNA, RNA, and proteins at the molecular level.

We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Executive to join Abbott Molecular. This role focuses on maximizing sales in a territory primarily driven by new customer acquisition. The ideal candidate will be based along the M4 corridor, as this position covers the South UK region.

What You’ll Do

New Business Development:

  • Utilizes multiple data sources to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Strategically understands the UK NHS and Ireland HSE laboratory network.
  • Manages and coordinates tender process.
  • Conducts workflow analysis for lab design visualization.
  • Engages with government bodies for new assay/testing algorithm approvals.
  • Acts as a corporate representative to negotiate with third-party companies for Managed Service Contracts.

Post-Sale Responsibilities:

  • Liaises with Legal Counsel for contract negotiations.
  • Manages customer relationships until transition to local Ambassador.
  • Acts as project manager for the implementation process from system delivery to go-live.
  • Coordinates with Supply Chain and Customer Service to ensure timely stock delivery.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Supports new product development with local market insights.
  • Provides feedback to global functions for product improvement.
  • Conducts market analysis and competitive intelligence.

Required Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent Previous experience in Diagnostics industry
  • Retaining existing business and ability to drive growth
  • Strong understanding of key stakeholders and customer dynamics
  • Strong solution selling and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in local language and English (where applicable)
