Job Description:

Manulife Investment Management (Japan) Limited (MIMJ) is looking for a candidate who will full-fill the role as an IT Infrastructure and IT Project Lead.

The person responsible will work internally within Manulife, with third-party vendors support team on day-to-day activities as well as play an active role in projects.

This person will be responsible for coordination and implementation of service quality and/or efficiency enhancements to current and new business systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • IT Infrastructure / IT Project (80%)

    • Provide guidance to a third-party team for application support, infrastructure changes, coordinate issue resolution and enhancement requests

    • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on projects as required, participate in project planning

    • Coordinate activities between different teams involved in vulnerability issues resolution

    • Collaborate with the Information Risk Management team to ensure that security and reliability of all systems is maintained

  • Desk Side Support (20%)

    • Support TCS desk side support team and follow up with users

Job Requirements (Knowledge/Skills/Competencies):

  • BS or MS in Computer Science preferred or equivalent professional experience

  • 5+ years of progressive work experience in IT

  • Systems experience (NRI T-Star, Bloomberg) is preferred

  • Experience with scheduling automated tools (CA Workload Automation or equivalent)

  • Experience in operational support of web applications, web services; knowledge of internet, hosting services (IIS)

  • Experience with MS SQL Server, ability to write SQL queries and joins

  • Familiarity with scripting languages: Shell script, Batch scripts

  • Other:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes to non-technical clients (English and Japanese)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of Incident, Change and Problem Management processes

  • Understanding of server administration, information protection and access management principles, risk analysis and mitigation processes

Salary:

Based on our Work Rules, we will consider your experience, skills and knowledge when we decide the salary.

Commutation allowance and Variable Incentive Bonus are paid based on our Work Rules.

Working Hours:

Standard Working Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm  (Include 1 hour break. Flex-time system available)
