What you’ll be doing...

This role is pivotal in revolutionizing how Verizon Business Group approaches promotional budgets and adjustments. Collaborating closely with the finance department, the Promo Framework and Tools Development Specialist will spearhead the creation of a new promotional framework designed for real-time adjustments, aiming to optimize a $20 million budget based on actual performance versus predetermined allocations. This involves developing a digital framework to aid finance in managing price elasticity of demand, enabling real-time fine-tuning of promotional values to maximize gross add yield. The role also encompasses building new tools and dashboards for rapid promo creation and modification in live environments. A key collaboration will be on project "Bookshelf," with the goal to triple the speed of promo market launch, ensuring Verizon Business Group remains competitive and responsive to market dynamics.


You will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring reports and dashboards daily to identify opportunities to optimize promotional spend by reallocating funds from underperforming campaigns to performant ones, or by recommending completely new promotions. 

  • Creating a new promotional framework that will allow for rapid adjustments to promotional spend in addition to developing the associated stakeholder approval processes. 

  • Conceptualizing new dashboards to help expedite promotional analysis and working with the analytics team to create, maintain and enhance the dashboards as needed. 

  • Developing SME level understanding of the promotion creation process from concept through bill application and a working knowledge of all impacted systems. 

  • Developing and present recommendations to adjust promotions in real-time to optimize spend and oversee the launch of such adjustments to ensure speed to market and quality execution.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must as is a consistent record of high-impact success. You are a thinker and a doer, not one to wait for instruction. You fearlessly ask questions and challenge the status quo in a situationally appropriate manner.


You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Recent work experience in program &/or project management.

  • Ecommerce or online experience.

  • Experience in improving customer experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter and lead cross-functional teams.

  • Strong communication skills with the aptitude to convey complex data concepts in business terms.


Even better if you have one or more of the following:    

  • Master’s Degree.

  • Project Management Certification.

  • Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Adobe Analytics and Tableau dashboards.

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment with changing evolving roles and responsibilities.

  • Experience collaborating and partnering with stakeholder organizations.

  • Ability to exert leadership and influence in a matrix organization structure.

  • Strong financial and business acumen with understanding of how marketing metrics deliver against revenue and margin targets.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects to successful completion.
