Job Description: The Azure Data Engineer/Architect will play a pivotal role in our federal client's data management, data integration, and business intelligence program. This position combines technical support responsibilities with a leadership role in designing, engineering, and overseeing the technical team responsible for creating a modernized data management solution stack.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead data architecture design to transform Oracle DB to Azure Synapse SQL and Azure managed services stack.
Move from traditional data warehouse to data mesh architecture.
Provide data architectural planning for data management platform and solution modernization.
Conduct implementation roadmap planning and design Agile User Stories with technical specifications.
Coordinate with the Lead Data Architect, Solutions Architect, and technical experts as needed.

Qualifications:

10+ years' experience with Requirements Analysis, Solution Architecture Design, and data integration.
8+ years' experience working with clients to translate business strategy into solutions.
5+ years' hands-on experience with Azure Data Analytics platform, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and more.
Experience in data architectures such as data mesh, data vault 2.0, and familiarity with Data Lake house.
BA or BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
Experience with Azure ARM templates, PowerShell, CI/CD using Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions.
Experience on an Agile delivery team and with collaboration tools like Jira/Confluence.

Salary Range: $130K to $150K base salary based on knowledge and years of experience.
