Location: (Remote) Within Norfolk, Haldimand and Oxford County

The Opportunity:

The Simcoe Reformer is looking for a Multimedia Journalist who can deliver well-crafted news and feature stories and take photographs and video. Simcoe Reformer publishes daily online and twice a week in print. Coverage area includes Norfolk, Haldimand and parts of Oxford County.

What you’ll do:

• Write and edit stories for print and our website.
• Shoot still photos, and occasionally shoot videos.
• Generate story/feature ideas.
• Engage in energetic use of social media.
• Will work closely with news team at the Brantford Expositor
  
  

Who you are:

• Candidates should have a journalism degree or diploma.
• Experience in covering municipal government in an asset.
• Ability to edit videos using is an asset.
• Good knowledge of social media.
• A working knowledge of WordPress is also an asset.
• A reliable car and a valid driver's licence are needed. There will be weekend and evening shifts.
