Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous IT Portfolio Analyst with a strong focus on enhancing financial performance to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. This pivotal role involves standardizing and managing expenditures within our IT department. By closely collaborating with IT teams, Finance, and Procurement, you will provide essential insights into current, pending, and anticipated financial commitments, thereby assisting in achieving our cost-saving objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement standardized methodologies for monitoring project performance, reporting, analysis, trend assessment, scheduling, and estimating.
  • Engage in discussions with functional and project managers to guarantee accurate resource requirement estimations for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Conduct independent evaluations of project cost estimates, payment schedules, and spending reports to maintain a comprehensive overview of the financial condition of the IT Project Portfolio.
  • Collaborate on contract proposals, ensuring detailed cost-benefit analyses are performed.
  • Analyze the financial implications of new projects on the existing portfolio and partner with managers to explore alternative strategies that keep projects on track.
  • Proactively identify and report trends that could adversely affect other projects, including reviewing project change requests.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards for senior management to enhance visibility into portfolio finances.
  • Collaborate with IT Procurement to establish processes that provide a holistic perspective on IT expenditures, encompassing routine business initiatives.
