Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Represent clients in a variety of insurance defense cases.
• Offer expert legal counsel on intricate liability matters.
• Craft and execute effective defense strategies to protect our clients' interests.
• Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes to ensure favorable outcomes for clients.
• Conduct comprehensive research to bolster case preparations and strategic planning.
• Prepare, review, and revise legal documentation including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
• Collaborate with colleagues, including attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff, to deliver high-quality legal services.
• Keep clients apprised of case developments while advising on potential legal risks and strategies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
• At least 10 years of experience specializing in insurance defense, particularly in liability law.
• A current license to practice law in California.
• Demonstrated success in defending clients in insurance-related matters.
• Proficient negotiation, dispute resolution, and advocacy capabilities.
• Strong research and analytical proficiency with an ability to interpret complex legal documents.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, adept at conveying intricate legal concepts.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
• Ability to work autonomously while managing a substantial caseload remotely.
• Proficiency in utilizing legal research tools and software.
• A minimum of 8 years of First Chair experience in third-party insurance defense cases.
• A solid background in General Liability, Product Liability, Commercial Auto Claims, and Toxic Tort.
