Position Overview

We are currently in search of a dynamic Sales Consultant who will be instrumental in promoting our diverse range of products and services, while cultivating robust relationships with both new and existing clients. This role is tailored for an individual who is eager to develop into a trusted business partner for our clientele.

As an outside sales representative, you will employ consultative selling techniques to drive sales growth across various product lines, including amenities, textiles, room accessories, and janitorial supplies, with a primary focus on hotels and management groups within your designated territory. Your performance will have a substantial impact on both our customers’ success and our corporate sales and profit objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain relationships with prospective and existing accounts to uncover and secure new sales opportunities.
  • Conduct sales calls and presentations to boost sales and enhance category penetration.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques alongside product knowledge to target new prospects and explore market growth avenues.
  • Manage assigned accounts diligently, ensuring corrective actions are taken as necessary to enrich the customer experience.
  • Regularly engage with accounts to introduce new products, provide company updates, and discuss pricing changes and opportunities.
  • Alert management promptly if any accounts are at risk of discontinuation or if persistent issues arise.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to facilitate timely customer payments.
  • Interact with various internal departments to relay critical information for customer service, including product changes.
  • Assist in the establishment of new accounts by managing customer applications, order guides, and pricing schedules.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and trends for your territory and accounts.

  • Technical aptitude with Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems, alongside maintaining customer databases.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of sales experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience within hospitality or supply/distribution sales is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with trip planning and account prioritization is beneficial.
