Job Overview

We invite you to become a vital member of our esteemed healthcare organization as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP). In this integral role, you will collaborate closely with a supervising physician to deliver comprehensive medical care, foster teamwork with fellow healthcare professionals, and significantly contribute to the well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including in-depth medical history assessments and physical examinations.
  • Execute medical procedures pertinent to the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients within our Nephrology clinic and chronic dialysis unit.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team in the formulation and execution of effective patient care strategies.
  • Order, conduct, and interpret various diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Provide patient education on disease prevention, management, and treatment alternatives.
  • Coordinate patient care through collaboration with physicians and specialists.
  • Maintain precise and current medical records utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the capability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
  • Competence to operate autonomously as well as within a cooperative multidisciplinary team.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous but not mandatory.

Qualifications

  • For PAs: Completion of an accredited PA program acknowledged by the Commission on Education for Physician Assistants, with current certification from the California Board of PAs.
  • For NPs: Graduation from an accredited NP program with current licensure in the State of California.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred, though dialysis experience is not a prerequisite.
