Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Python Instructor to conduct online training sessions focused on Data Analysis using Python. This pivotal role is designed to equip employees with essential data analytics skills, thereby advancing our overarching digital engineering objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate live, interactive training sessions that encompass fundamental concepts of data analytics, including Python programming and automation of analytical tasks.
• Instruct participants on managing and processing extensive datasets, using Python for data exploration, visualization, and analysis.
• Lead learners through advanced topics such as missing data handling, time series analysis, and database interactions.
• Ensure comprehensive access and necessary training materials are prepared for up to 20 participants prior to each course.
• Coordinate course scheduling, aligning with both instructor and participant availability.
• Deliver training materials (presentations, resources) at least five business days in advance of the course commencement.
• Maintain a comprehensive roster of participants and provide attendance records after each session.
  
  

Course Structure

The virtual course will be structured over a minimum of four days, aimed at government agency employees based in Maryland. Key topics include:

• Python for data science
• Data access and preparation
• Numerical analysis
• Data visualization (utilizing NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn)
• Data exploration with Pandas
• Introduction to machine learning with Scikit-learn
