Job description

At the moment we have a vacancy for the position of Production Engineer-Hydrocarbon Accounting Analyst, the role does require relevant experience with Norway rules and regulations

This position is key member of the Asset / Operations Control Team and reports to Asset Control Manager. This role will manage the Asset Hydrocarbon accounting process according to the Company’s Production Management System (PMS) guidelines and Norway regulations.

Job Description

Production Management System

  • Key user of the Company Production Management System. This means be the source of with IT and TEP for any modifications or updates to be done in the Hydrocarbon accounting tool (Energy Components).
  • Manage and execute the daily closeout process as specified in the PMS. Including a QA/QC of the data entered by the Production Operations team.
  • Manage and execute the monthly closeout process as specified in the PMS.
  • Make a balance of the plant per phase according to the PMS standard specifications.
  • Follow up and ensure that all the input data for the Production Management System specifications are entered into the system.
  • Quality control of the deferment reasons entered by Operations Team.
  • Evaluation of the uncertainties related to the allocation process and the metering systems with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Updates the allocation design specifications document (s) according to the updates that happen in the allocation network.

Emission Management

  • Follow up and control of the emissions calculated by Energy Components.
  • Organize any fugitive emissions detection campaigns and certify the results of them.
  • Control the process to request flaring (or fuel if applies) permits with government entities.

Reporting

  • Guarantee the quality of the data in the daily production report.
  • Prepare any report requested by government entities, partners or internal stakeholders related to production or emission figures.
  • Follow up KPIs reported on IAMS to ensure that these are reflecting the reality of the Asset.

Other

  • Stay updated with company cyber policies and procedures and promote the importance of cyber security to team.
  • Complete yearly general cyber security training as well as cybersecurity training for industrial control systems
  • Asset focal point of any modifications on PI System.
  • Provides support to projects in matter of emissions or hydrocarbon accounting.

Job requirements

Qualifications, Education And Experience

  • University degree, bachelor
  • 5 years of experience in Hydrocarbon Accounting or Production Engineering.

Non-technical Competencies

Communication: Must be able to proactively get their key message across to the organization and to other stakeholders and communicate clearly, both written and orally, in English and Norwegian.

Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to effectively deal with a range of persons, teams and organizations both internally and externally. Must be able to learn new systems and be organized and structured in the approach. Must be proactive and collaborative towards other functions and stakeholders.
