Job description

Are you a Maintenance & Operations Engineer, with experience from Norway O&G industry- looking for a new challenge?

This position will support Maintenance & Operations activities (including drilling rig equipment) definition for preventive plans in collaboration with the different stakeholders (onshore and offshore), creating them in SAP PM and ensuring the quality of the related information. As part of the role, the candidate will promote the optimization of the task lists related to preventive maintenance plans and propose changes based on historical data, experience and best practices in the Norway offshore oil and gas industry. Amongst the technical support and collaboration with various disciplines providing input for the right definition of Maintenance & Operations activities, the candidate will assist all Maintenance and Operations personnel (offshore and onshore) with corresponding training in SAP PM tool and in compliance with Company processes. The position requires the candidate to liaise with involved stakeholders from various disciplines to gather and report information, ensuring any change is done following the MoC and notification process for changes in the master data in SAP PM.

Job Description

  • The candidate will work closely with the main stakeholders onshore and offshore not only Maintenance Operations but also Production, Facilities, Information Management, etc.
  • Support daily activities improving the definition of the work (descriptions, duration, scheduling, etc.)
  • Participate in the definition/optimization of preventive maintenance plans and maintenance KPIs
  • Track progress of relevant maintenance optimization activities and report status.
  • The candidate will be familiar with all necessary documentation, drawings, process information etc.
  • Actively participate and give support in audits and asset reviews, during the process itself and also resolving findings when applicable.
  • Assist in developing and updating maintenance procedures.
  • Proactively drive lessons learned and best practices within the onshore and offshore organization.
  • Stay updated with Company policies and procedures
  • Contributes to ensuring compliance with Norwegian regulations and Company procedures, and handle non-conformities as required.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to improve maintenance activities and asset register in SAP PM (spares, materials, task lists definition, etc.)
  • The candidate will be the focal point for SAP PM training and related tools (SAP Fiori)

Job requirements

Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent. Experience can equate for lack of formal education
  • More than 5 years knowledge in E&P business processes with offshore experience in the North Sea
  • High expertise in SAP PM and Company maintenance process
  • Familiar with Office 365 package and other tools supporting new ways of working
  • Capacity and competence to go in depth of the problems and help progressing the maintenance related issues in SAP PM
  • The ideal candidate will have a background in Operations and Maintenance from the offshore O&G industry in North sea, including drilling rig, knowledge of operational and maintenance processes, relevant documentation, drawings, and tools.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups (other teams and towards central functions) and establish ongoing relationships and demonstrating the motivation and organization to meet demanding targets.

Additional Requirements

Offshore Fit to Work and BOSIET training certificate

Communication: The candidate must be able to proactively get their key message across to the organization and to other stakeholders and be clear in language (English and Norwegian) written and verbally, mainly for training purposes.

Interpersonal Skills: The candidate must be able to effectively deal with a range of persons, teams and organization both internally and externally. He/she need to be able to learn new systems, be organized and structured in the approach. The candidate needs to be proactive and collaborative towards other functions and stakeholders.
