Job description

Sovereign Pension Services Limited is a financial services company which forms part of the Sovereign Group, an international group of companies with over 30 years’ experience in trusts and corporate services.

The ideal candidate should:

Be expected to provide support to the different teams within the organization.

Having some compliance experience preferably within a corporate service company. They may be in a junior position, looking for a new challenge and interested in expanding their knowledge and experience in cross border business and pensions.

Fluent in English – Fluency in any other language would be an asset and be able to work independently with minimal supervision

The job will include the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the Company complies with all applicable licensing conditions emanating from local laws as well as applicable EU Directives, Regulatory and Implementing Technical Standards, Guidelines and Q&As in the area of pensions
  • Carrying out due diligence, risk assessments and compliance checks for new business.
  • Undertaking periodic reviews and risk assessments of existing client relationships and business and on new and existing companies, trusts and retirement scheme members.
  • Answer incoming escalations from the operations team, related to AML, CFT, SOW & SOF.
  • Liaising with the Senior Compliance Analyst, pension teams and compliance personnel in other Sovereign offices.
  • Draft Suspicious Activity Reports and report them directly to the MLRO
  • Understand and stay current on industry trends related to AML

The salary will be commensurate with experience.
