As Solution Engineer you will be a part of Körber Supply Chain South West and North West Europe that cover Portugal, Spain, France and Benelux and all of the UK, where the main office and facilities are based in Portugal. Your primary focus will be to expand and support the development of our local UK market together with our strong and newly established UK team. You will be working closely together with highly skilled colleagues across all of Europe, all with a broad skillset within the Supply Chain industry.
Your primarily work focus will be
Creation of concepts, tenders and offer layouts
Analysis of customer data
Calculation of performance on automation equipment and systems such as AS/RS storage for both pallets and totes and our world leading Layer Picker
Act as guidance for technicians and project managers involved in the offer process
Establish and maintain project cost calculations and documentation
Responsible for the technical solution
Participate in customer presentations to showcase the technical solution
Being part of Körber’s System Integration selling process will entail business travels between 0-50 days per year. These travels will depend on the individual projects and our customers’ needs. Occasionally projects outside UK will require your skill set.
Who are you?
You have a minimum of three years’ experience from a similar position within the automation industry and a relevant technical education within technology management or engineering. You hold a high degree of proactiveness and have an analytical, solution-oriented and curious mindset. Furthermore, you are a quick learner, and you possess good skills within CAD systems and have strong and persuasive verbal and written skills. The exact job description will be adapted according to the right candidate's level of experience.
As a person you are outgoing and have a high level of commitment, a great sense of humour and a responsible mindset. You are ready to go the extra mile in your effort to succeed together with your team and collaborate with other Körber Supply Chain companies and departments (Software, production, R&D, purchasing, order management etc.) You will be home based, but with the possibility to work at our newly established office nearby London together with your dedicated colleagues.
