Summary:

As a Customer Service Representative your primary job would be to communicate with patients and insurance companies in regard to questions or inquiries about their medical bill. We get a variety of calls throughout the day patients calling to pay a bill, set up payment plans, provide correct insurance information, questioning the charges on the account and more. In the customer service department while answering inbound calls is our primary goal, we do have other daily duties as well.  

 

Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Answer inbound calls from patients and insurance carriers.  

  • Provide exceptional and professional customer service to each caller.  

  • Resolve all account issues to the best of our ability and provide accurate information to each caller.  

  • Make outbound calls to patients once an account review is completed. 

  • Process returned patient statements.  

  • Process attorney requests for patient itemized bill requests. 

  • Process medical records requests from insurance carriers.  

  • Make outbound calls to insurance carriers to opt out of credit card payments.  

  • Strong customer service skills. 

  • Problem solving skills to resolve the reason for the call.  

  • Effective communication skills. 

  • Ability to multitask.  

  • Works well under fast pace environment. 

  • High attention to detail
