Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney specializing in Civil Defense Litigation to join our esteemed law firm in a remote capacity. This permanent position presents an outstanding opportunity to engage with high-stakes cases and enhance your expertise in the legal field while delivering exceptional legal representation to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in various civil defense litigation matters, including but not limited to insurance, personal injury, business, and commercial disputes.
  • Oversee a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through to trial.
  • Draft essential legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to devise effective litigation strategies.
  • Participate actively in depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitration proceedings.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal standards and regulations.
  • Address the needs and priorities of attorneys, clients, and the firm proactively.

Required Skills

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing (California or Nevada).
  • At least 1 year of litigation experience concentrated in insurance, personal injury, business, and commercial law.
  • Strong research and writing capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A minimum billable hours requirement of 1850.
