Job description

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for independently performing various quality assurances review functions related to processes performed by Bank Operations staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

  • Review of commercial loan payments and credit line advance disbursements posted within the loan servicing platform to commercial loan accounts to ensure they are posted accurately, within the required time frame and supported by required documentation.
  • Ability to review and interpret insurance coverage requirements as noted within the Commercial Credit Approval Memorandum (CAM) and Loan closing instructions from Loan Administration.
  • Ability to review various forms of insurance for compliance with requirements including Commercial General Liability, Business Interruption, Contents, Building, Flood and Windstorm coverage.
  • Review of various third party vendor applications to ensure proper monitoring and tracking of insurance coverages as applicable.
  • Performs review of insurance carriers for acceptable A.M. Best insurance ratings for all insurance policies for commercial loans.
  • Ability to identify appropriate sampling for reviews to be performed based on established requirements.
  • Ability to effectively monitor and record receipt of any outstanding supporting documentation to clear deficiencies and escalate to Quality Assurance Manager where appropriate.
  • Identify and report to QA manager, and appropriate internal staff any suspicious activity, misrepresentation, red flags or other fraudulent activity identified in the loan review in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform reviews within the quality assurance platform timely and accurately to ensure required reporting to the business line.
  • Completion and performance of any other duties that may be assigned by the QA Manager.
  • Review of advance disbursements from commercial credit lines to ensure they are posted to the loan servicing platform accurately, within the required time frame and supported by required documentation.
  • Review of customer disputes reported to credit reporting agencies or directly to the Bank to ensure regulatory requirements outlined in the Fair credit Reporting Act and guidelines under the CFPB are met.
  • Review for evidence of sufficient renewal of flood insurance or lender placement activities for existing commercial loans secured by real estate in a special flood hazard area as defined under the National Flood Insurance Reform Act, Flood Disaster Protection Act, Biggers Waters Act and internal bank policies and procedures.
  • Review of commercial high risk maintenance transactions (i.e. interest rate changes, risk ratings) performed within the loan servicing platform including ensuring proper authorizations and supporting documentation are obtained.
  • Review of Automatic Clearing House (ACH) transactions are appropriately decisioned for proper handling on behalf of the customer's transaction account within the Signature UI application.
  • Review of reactivated dormant accounts within the Signature UI Application to ensure appropriate authorization and supporting documents are obtained.
  • Review of product type, interest rate and other maintenance changes performed in the customer's transaction accounts to within the Signature UI supplication and ensure proper authorizations and supporting documentation are obtained
  • Perform a validation of index and interest rate data within the commercial loan servicing platform against secondary marketing rate sheets issued by the Bank
  • Ability to effectively communicate review deficiencies to internal staff in a manner which is results driven.
  • Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
  • Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
  • Identifies and reports suspicious activity.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of in deposit operations or commercial or residential loan operations environment as a Loan Closer, Post Closer or loan servicing representative required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as Quality Assurance Specialist in the residential, commercial or deposit operations environment required
