Join Our Team as a Field Engineer in Ireland!

Location: Donegal (Letterkenny) and the Mayo / Galway (Castlebar)

Are you an experienced Field Engineer with a passion for fibre optics and network technology? We are looking for dedicated professionals to join our team in the Galway and Donegal regions. If you have expertise in complex fibre splicing, OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer), and optical power measurement, we want to hear from you!

Work-Life Balance: Standard working hours from 9 am to 5:30 pm, with on-call rota one week in every four.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform in-field repair and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal function and performance of all FTTH access network elements.

Specialize in Fibre, OLT, ONT, and PON technologies.

Support the resolution of complex customer issues and adherence to key operational processes.

Contribute to the acceptance of new/enhanced network resources into production.

Develop strong relationships with colleagues in the Network Operations Centre and Customer Operations teams.

Liaise with third-party vendor specialists for third-line support.

Requirements:

Must live or be prepared to live within 25km of the regional town centre in the area you apply to be responsible for.

Skilled in OLT/ONT troubleshooting, OTDR testing, Fibre Fault finding, Core Fibre, and FTTx.

Ideally, domain knowledge across OSS, OLT, ONT, DWDM & IP (Nokia an advantage).

Excellent written, oral communication, reporting, and presentation skills.

Highly responsible with the ability to work on call and on own initiative.

Excellent people skills and a strong ambassador.
