Indications and Warning Analyst

The Opportunity:

Join the AFRICOM team as an Indications and Warning Analyst, where your expertise will directly contribute to understanding and addressing critical threats in Africa. In this role, you will establish and maintain an AFRICOM-focused defense warning problem, ensuring precise monitoring of global power competitor activity across the African theater.

Your work will involve utilizing Defense Warning Network (DWN) methodologies to define and identify key warning problem indicators. You'll actively participate in DWN communities of interest, collaborating with other professionals to stay ahead of emerging threats. By creating and presenting materials, you will inform combatant commander decisions on the warning problem, ensuring that DoD leadership has the best information at their disposal.

In addition, you'll provide subject matter expertise on global power competition competitor capabilities that could threaten U.S. freedom of movement within the AFRICOM area of responsibility. Your insights will be invaluable in shaping strategies that protect national interests.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with defense warning or all-source intelligence analysis

  • Experience with IC analytical writing standards and product publication

  • Ability to independently establish project objectives and milestones with minimal oversight

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED and 10+ years of experience with intelligence, Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience with intelligence, or Master's degree and 3+ years of experience with intelligence

  • Active passport with at least 6 months validity for the purposes of visa applications

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience as a defense warning analyst

  • Experience in the AFRICOM AOR

  • Experience in the INDOPACOM AOR

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Completion of the DWN Warning Analysis Course

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
