Job description

UKAS has an exciting opportunity for an Academy Training Manager to join our Commercial Training Team.


The ideal candidate must have:


  • A passion for all things training; course creation and development, delivery and long-term training solutions.
  • Excellent, demonstrable knowledge of any or all of the Certification Body standard requirements including ISO/IEC 17021, 17024, 17065, or Inspection Body standard ISO/IEC 17020 or the Validation and Verification Body standard ISO/IEC 17029.
  • Several years of experience within an accredited certification, inspection or validation and verification body.
  • A strong desire to bring about change and improvement.
  • Internal auditing or accreditation management experience.
  • Ability to travel with diverse schedules.


The key responsibilities of this role will be to support the commercial team in the creation and delivery of Training and Advisory services.


This will include:

  • Developing, maintaining and delivering commercial training products including digital solutions, taking responsibility for ensuring existing and new courses are developed and updated.
  • Supporting the sales team in developing proposals.
  • Reviewing new and developing technical areas to assess their potential for new courses.
  • Identifying and implementing any identified improvements to current training activities, taking into account current and anticipated UKAS needs.


This is a full-time position and it can be either remote or office-based. The role will report to the Instructional Design Specialist.
