Job description

Your day to day 

This role involves working independently to actively build and maintain a network of clients and prospects, with a focus on sourcing and closing deals in alignment with the company's strategic objectives. The role will operate autonomously, handling all aspects of the deal process from lead generation to closing, while receiving guidance from the Head of Development for the region. This is a deal-driven position, with no team management responsibilities.

Deal & Lead Management:

  • Work independently in sourcing, negotiating, and closing hotel deals (franchise and management) aligned with the company’s strategic development objectives.
  • Work autonomously but under the guidance of a Development Director or Head of Development.
  • Prospect and evaluate potential leads, ensuring they align with the company’s development goals.
  • Filter out high-quality opportunities and drive these deals through to successful closure.

Territory Development Plan:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the assigned territory aimed at optimizing hotel distribution, enhancing earnings, and maximizing shareholder value.
  • The plan should be regularly updated to reflect industry trends and competition.

Client and Prospect Network Building:

  • Build and maintain a strong network of investors, asset managers, real estate developers, banks, and other stakeholders.
  • Focus on developing long-term relationships that can lead to future deals and business growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Design & Engineering, Investment Analysis, Brand, and Operations.
  • Ensure that the company presents itself professionally during pitches and that all necessary information is gathered to support deal execution.
  • Work closely with the Investment Analysis team to assess the financial feasibility of each project, ensuring that it aligns with company value expectations.
  • Manage the entire deal process, including legal documentation, approvals, and contract execution in partnership with the legal team.

Reporting and Pipeline Management:

  • Provide accurate and regular reporting on deal flow, project pipeline, and progress within the territory.
  • Ensure smooth handover of completed deals to the New Hotels Opening team for execution.

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Real Estate or Hotel Management or equivalent combination of education and work experiences
  • 5-8 Years progressive hotel focused expertise in real estate finance, acquisitions, feasibility and/or banking paired with an in-depth understanding of the hospitality sector. 3-5 years managing significant complex hotel projects/negotiations including deal structuring and closing.
  • Or in comparable seniority level role in a company within the Development ecosystem (consultant, broker, banks, investor) with hands-on experience with complex hotel deals
  • Understanding of the Hotel lifecycle, construction/renovation (Capex) requirements
  • Proficiency in development, feasibility and deal valuation in real estate environment
  • In depth understanding of Hotel contract models (FLA/HMA/Lease) - legal implications and risk appreciation
  • Commercial acumen, deal-savviness to strike best possible commercial balance allowing to close the deal
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of capital markets, investor profiles and practices,
  • Understanding of hotel operations and implications of deal structure for future operation of hotel
  • Strong project management skills across multi-functional teams (from lead to closing/implementation)
  • Fluent in English + European languages
