Our colleagues across the globe love innovating with science and technology to enrich people’s lives with our solutions in Healthcare, Life Science, and Electronics. Together, we dream big and are passionate about caring for our rich mix of people, customers, patients, and planet. That's why we are always looking for curious minds that see themselves imagining the unimaginable with us.

Your Role: We are committed to protecting our patients and customers by safeguarding the integrity of our products. As part of our Corporate Security Team, you will play a key role in the implementation of our brand protection program and will be responsible for leading our online investigations program.

You will conduct thorough online open-source market surveys and threat assessments, identifying the trade of counterfeit or unauthorized Merck products that pose a risk to our patients, customers and our brand. You will manage cases initiated through product complaints and law enforcement agency referrals. Leveraging online and offline sources, you will gather intelligence and analyse data to identify patterns, link incidents, and uncover new threats. You will triage cases, prioritize online investigations into high-value targets and develop targeting packages for our regional investigators. You will own and maintain applications for research and reporting, produce analytical reports via visualization software and contribute to the continuous improvement of our data collection, ensuring smart and predictive analytics that identify key trends, drive decision-making, and determine resource allocation for proactive investigations. You will coordinate closely with and evaluate services of outside consultants, information providers and other external investigational resources to support intelligence analysis for internet monitoring and other product security programs.

Who you are:

• Graduate degree; Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

• Law enforcement or military intelligence experience preferred.

• Proven track record in overt and covert internet investigations.

• Advanced proficiency in online data collection, collation, analysis, and visualization using relevant software and tools.

• Strong ability to proactively monitor, develop, interpret, analyze, and assess information from diverse online and offline sources. Proficient in determining its credibility, urgency, and relevance to investigations, and providing value through secondary data analysis and reporting.

• Sound knowledge of analytical techniques applicable to law enforcement requirements.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in an accurate, clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong ability to manage and prioritize a large and diverse workload efficiently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to work in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment.

• Experience in brand protection and the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry preferred.

• Fluent in English. Additional language skills, particularly Spanish and German, an advantage.
