JOB SUMMARY:
Max Insurance is looking for an enthusiastic and results driven Director, Strategic Partnerships, to be located in Alberta, to help lead the sales growth and champion broker relationships for our rapidly expanding business.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive Sales Growth for a dedicated portfolio of broker partners and throughout the Company more broadly
Oversee a portfolio of your own brokers as the primary relationship manager / account executive, and serve as the primary point of contact for each broker’s management team / principals
Develop innovative strategies to engage with our broker partners to drive results and strengthen broker partnerships
Engage in discussions and execute innovative programs to drive meaningful growth in a variety of ways, including through the establishment of a deep understanding of Max Insurance’s edge & offering to brokers, strategic opportunities, and programs to drive growth
Understand and implement necessary remedial actions where brokers are under performing as the principal relationship manager.
Champion the relationships for brokers in your portfolio both internally and externally through active engagement with management and impactful presentations to front line brokers
Lead Presentation & Messaging to our Broker Partners
Lead the compilation of presentations that are used to engage with broker partners, both through in-person and remote sessions
Deliver captivating presentations that engage brokers at the highest level, through:
Understanding and solving for the strategic goals of each presentation
Relating to brokers from previous roles
Identify issues brokers are facing and how Max Insurance solves for them
Proactively finding issues with legacy brokers and designing presentations that address those areas of concern
Creating best in class well formatted materials
Addressing & resolving potential points of concern for the broker in a thoughtful manner
Communicate to Senior Leadership Team
Proactively, regularly update Senior Leadership Team on all the above, providing proactive solutions & seeking input where necessary
Escalate material issues with brokers as necessary - proactively identify these issues to avoid escalation in the future
Propose thoughtful & actionable strategies to enhance our broker relationships and drive growth
QUALIFICATIONS:
University degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline
8 years of experience working in the Property & Casualty insurance industry, preferably in an brokerage management or business development leadership capacity, with significant ties to the Alberta P&C insurance market
Ability to actively guide & manage others, provide them with guidance to complete their day to day activities and support to achieve their long term objectives
Proven presentation skills that serve as a best in class example for the team to emulate
Ability to develop and deliver captivating, persuasive presentations
Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to generate new ideas on how to actively manage broker pipelines
Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
Excellent oral and written communication skills
